Community Solo

COMMUNITY SOLO

A four-week guided adventure on and offline to connect as a community, surface our deepest questions and set intentions ready for a 24-hour nature solo, followed by an integration session to support courageous action, as crew, in service to all life.

We find ourselves in mysterious times where little seems to make sense anymore.

Navigating this mystery appears to require a deepening of our capacity to listen, ask better questions, and cross the threshold to a deeper relationship with ourselves, with our community, and with the more than human world.

The Community Solo is designed to rapidly support our capacity to become an active participant in the co-creation of the future that is emerging. They are spaces for community and connection in these mysterious times.

What to expect

Over 4 weeks we will spend time building our community, connecting as a crew and finding ourselves amongst the dominant narratives of separation from nature and from one another.

We gather online for three weekly evening sessions from 7-9pm (GMT). In these sessions we’ll explore what it is to be living in these mysterious times with practices to support you as you feel the call to step into service.

We’ll also take time to share our questions, longings, challenges and uncertainties and how they are showing up for us.

All of this will prepare you for your nature solo. We work with the age-old idea of taking our questions, ideas and longings out onto the land. Depending on the time of the year this will either be an invitation to an overnight solo experience in a place near you live or in the winter months it will be a ‘medicine walk’, a dawn till dusk experience.

Upon our return we will gather again online, welcoming back our crew from their journey. We will share our stories and begin the process of integrating it into our everyday lives.

Our final online crew gathering a few days later (7-9pm) will refocus on our initial question as well as what came up in the solo and subsequent integration. We will galvanise ourselves to create change, to take action, in service to all life.

Deep Winter Community Solos

As we drop into the dark time of the year we’re offering two deep winter Community Solos. They will offer a chance to sit in community, to slow down, tune in, and speak to the questions that are alive for you at this time.

Each Community Solo will culminate in a ‘medicine walk’, where you will spend time alone outdoors around the place you call home from dawn to dusk. With practices to support you to connect and tune so that you might receive the ‘medicine’ that you need, in whatever form it might come in.

Why join?

Become part of a crew

In these mysterious times it is easy to feel isolated and alone, disconnected from ourselves and others, sitting with often uncomfortable questions.

Becoming part of a crew of people on a Community Solo allows you to realise there are others with similar challenges, questions and longings. We’ll sit together with our discomfort and share our stories.

We will share practices to support, inspire and embolden you as you prepare for your nature solo. With the knowledge of your crew also out on the land at the same time, you will experience what it is like to be alone but still connected and together in community,

Connect to the place you call home

What if the answers you need could come from the places around you and that the community in which you live might offer you the stories and ideas you need at these times of uncertainty?

Throughout the community solo there will be a range of practices to support you to deepen your connection to the place you call home. Then as we step into our solo time you will take time to really deepen that connection and tune into the stories of your place, recognising that the answers you need might be closer to us than we think.

Step into service

Through the building of our crew and connecting to our local place we’ll ask the question of what it might require to open to the unique gifts we can offer in service to all life.

Not always grandiose these might simply be ways of noticing and connecting or everyday practices you can commit to in your life and work.
